Understanding REBA scores and action levels
What the Rapid Entire Body Assessment score means and when to act.
REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) is a whole-body posture assessment method developed by Hignett & McAtamney (2000). It produces a single score from 1 to 15+ that maps to four action levels:
| Score | Action Level | Risk | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | AL 0 | Negligible | No action needed. |
| 2–3 | AL 1 | Low | Change may be needed. |
| 4–7 | AL 2 | Medium | Investigate further; change soon. |
| 8–10 | AL 3 | High | Investigate and implement change. |
| 11+ | AL 4 | Very high | Implement change now. |
ErgoVision shows the peak REBA score across the recording, plus a timeline so you can see when risk spiked. Use peak for compliance reporting and the timeline for understanding what triggered the risk.
